Project Manager

OEM of food / beverage industrial processing equipment / dry material handling solutions seeks an experienced Project Manager.  This position is salaried with benefits, reports to Director of Engineering


To oversee process / mechanical / electrical / pneumatic system design, fabrication, implementation and installation of Company built process equipment into client plants;   To act as single point of contact between Company and client, their integrators, vendors, and all interested third parties during all phases of project execution, facilitating communication as needed to ensure successful project implementation;  To act as technological expert representing Company and its technology to Top 100 world-wide Food and Beverage processors in support of sales and marketing strategic initiatives;  To attain mastery of Company’s technology to support continuous improvement initiatives in both products and processes that further Company’s growth in target markets;

Minimum Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree with relevant work experience in food and beverage industry.
  • Demonstrated prior project management, leadership, project responsibilities.
  • Project & Process experience in Food / Beverage or Chemical Industry.
  • Stainless steel shop fabrication / welding / machining knowledge.
  • Prior employment with OEM, in a similar / identical position is desired.
  • AutoCAD Mechanical desktop and Inventory Proficient, Office 2010, Project 2010


Will perform project startups, service trips, seminars etc., in continental US and ex-US, 5-7 days/month (+/- as business fluctuates).  Travel will be higher for first 4-6 months due to training.  Valid passport required for overseas travel.

Primary Duties:

Project engineer / engineering, consisting of but not limited to:  perform concept & detail design of processes supporting preparation of approval and shop drawings based upon sales / customer design input;  significant correspondence with clients project engineer and third parties regarding: process, progress, functionality, design etc.;  correspondence with vendors concerning specification & requisition of custom items;  inspection of fabrications, preparation of purchase orders for equipment and custom buyouts; equipment inspection / checkout & functional testing of systems prior to shipment; preparation of manuals & misc. submittals; oversee & execute equipment start-up at customers facility.

Secondary Duties:

Lead mechanical design engineer, consisting of but not limited to: prepare & update new and existing standard equipment fabrication drawings; inspection & functional testing of fabrications / designs; maintain records of standard products, drawings, and product testing; execute new design & development projects as requested.

Maintain parts database in accounting package; special projects as needed to support sales / marketing efforts.
